For the release of the KARHU AW25 Fusion XC Pack, the brand has teamed up with Helsinki-based design collective Minestrone Workshop. Based in the northern Vallila region, this young team has already produced some of the most exciting projects to come out of the Finnish capital. With a focus on local wood and heavy craftsmanship, Minestrone's robust, practical approach embodies exactly what makes the FUSION XC the perfect choice for their work. The FUSION XC itself is equipped with durable, robust materials such as Cordura and a striking, sturdy outsole, combining a distinctive retro aesthetic with modern functionality. Inspired by several KARHU archive models, it features a taped M logo reminiscent of the 1996 FUSION AP. The outsole features an updated T-profile lug pattern that was used on numerous KARHU models in the last century, including the iconic SYNCHRON CLASSIC.

About Karhu
The Finnish brand Karhu was founded in 1916 and initially produced javelins, discuses, and skis, followed a few years later by running shoes. Karhu sneakers are particularly well known for their Fulcrum technology. This was developed in 1987 and has since been tested and perfected at the University of Jyväskylä in Finland and Iowa State University in the USA. It provides the sneakers with targeted cushioning, enabling a more natural running feel and better acceleration.
