What began in 2008 in a small shop at Friedensplatz in Darmstadt has grown over the years into one of the dominant online shops in the sneaker and streetwear sector.

Seven years after opening its first store, Asphaltgold expanded in the heart of Darmstadt's city center with the addition of the AGC Store. The new store was a concept store focused on sneakers and contemporary streetwear, comprehensively reflecting the evolution of sneaker culture into the fashion world. Both stores operated in Darmstadt until spring 2020, when the AGC Store was transformed into one large Asphaltgold store. Since 2008, Asphaltgold has combined aesthetic and contemporary fashion for diverse target groups with the fundamental values ​​of sneaker culture in the heart of the Rhine-Main region.

In keeping with our values ​​– Culture, Aesthetics, Dedication – every square inch of our store at Ludwigsplatz 8A in Darmstadt reflects our meticulous attention to detail. We strive to create a space brimming with inspiration for our community and customers, and to present our product range in a way that truly reflects its value: contemporary, progressive, and aesthetically pleasing.

Beyond the big players like Nike, Adidas, Reebok and New Balance, you will always find new brands with us, especially in the apparel sector, with which we grow and, above all, recognize trends in the market early on – without losing sight of fair and sustainable production.

With us you'll often find in-store only products that are already sold out online or at other retailers, you can participate in exclusive in-store raffles, or celebrate with us at one of our events and exchange information about the latest developments in our sneaker and fashion universe.
