Karhu comes from Helsinki and has been making performance shoes for over a hundred years – the Finns developed their Fulcrum technology in collaboration with the University of Jyväskylä in 1986. The Mestari Run LS is the lightweight, smooth version of this Max-Cushion line. The Colorway Stilt / Safari features muted, warm tones, with a textile and breathable mesh upper. The core is the AeroFoam-NITRO midsole: Karhu claims it is lighter and more durable than traditional EVA foam. The embedded Fulcrum acts like a cradle underfoot, directing each step forward. This helps reduce unnecessary braking forces and encourages a smooth transition from heel to toe. An amplified Toe Spring enhances the characteristic Rolling Effect. The rubber sole provides grip, without any animal materials. Built for distance: The Mestari Run is specifically designed for high-mileage training, recovery runs, and marathon preparation.
