    About Karhu

    The Finnish brand Karhu was founded in 1916 and initially produced javelins, discuses, and skis, followed a few years later by running shoes. Karhu sneakers are particularly well known for their Fulcrum technology. This was developed in 1987 and has since been tested and perfected at the University of Jyväskylä in Finland and Iowa State University in the USA. It provides the sneakers with targeted cushioning, enabling a more natural running feel and better acceleration.
