With the ACG LDV, Nike brings back one of its oldest trail stories. The Long Distance Vector started in the late 1970s as a lightweight distance runner and made sneaker history when it was worn by climbers during Rick Ridgeway and John Roskelley's K2 expedition. Feedback from that time inspired Nike's first outdoor shoes and the entire ACG universe. Now, the silhouette returns to where it all began. This version comes in the colorway Monarch Purple / Purple Dynasty / Bold Berry, featuring rich purple over various berry tones. Textile makes up the upper and cover material, while leather details and embroidered logos provide structure. Underfoot, a ReactX cushioning sits atop a grippy rubber sole. The palette has a clean, almost retro-futuristic vibe, reminiscent of the purple LDV runs of the early years. Purple as the main tone, berry as a contrast – a colorway that brings the silhouette's origins into a modern light.
