About Clarks Originals

Clarks Originals is one of the world's most traditional shoe manufacturers. Founded in 1825 in Street, Somerset, England, the company's headquarters are still located in the same place today. The brothers James and Cyrus Clark recognized the need for high-quality footwear early on, so they continuously developed their product portfolio and manufacturing capabilities. With their flagship products, the Desert Boot and the Wallabee, the brand has enjoyed great success across different generations and subcultures. In addition to the English mods of the 1960s, it was primarily the Jamaican rudeboys who discovered the brand and made it big. From the coasts of Jamaica, the trend eventually spilled over to the streets of Brooklyn, where rap greats such as the Wu-Tang Clan discovered the styles for themselves in the mid-1990s. The Wallabee in particular redefined the hip-hop look and brought a more smart-casual style to a scene otherwise dominated by sportswear. Fast forward to 2018, Clarks is launching not only its all-time classics in new colors and materials, but also completely new models that will add their own unique flavor to the sneaker scene.
