About Ugg

In the late 1970s, Brian Smith was a hard-working Australian accounting student with a passion for surfing, music and meditation. One day, he heard a song on the radio that would change his life. Without further ado, he quit his career and made his way to California. There he noticed that his surfing friends were not wearing lambskin boots, as was customary in Australia. This led to the founding of the UGG brand, which he initially sold out of his van until word of mouth and celebrities made them so popular that he joined forces with Deckers Brands in 1995. Today, UGG stands for quality, craftsmanship and a rebellious spirit that is appreciated worldwide.
