  • Best for: Tempo, Race
  • Cushioning: high
  • Ride: direct to dynamic
  • Distance: medium to long
  • Highlight: Carbon racer with PWRRUN HG and PWRRUN PB foam and a plate slotted in the forefoot, tuned firmer and more stable than the Endorphin Elite 2.

The Saucony x Highsnobiety Endorphin Pro 5 combines Saucony's carbon racer with the cultural and media platform label Highsnobiety, founded in Berlin in 2005. Following a previous ProGrid Triumph 4 collaboration, the duo translates archive and performance into a capsule that brings Saucony's fastest silhouette out of the usual neon. The Coffee / Cream colorway features muted coffee tones over the breathable mesh upper and leather-free setup. Below, the dual-foam deck works with firmer PWRRUN HG over reactive PWRRUN PB, connected with the forefoot-slit carbon plate that allows lateral flexibility and provides a clean push-off and secure grip through SPEEDROLL and PWRTRAC rubber. In the run, the Pro 5 delivers a direct, controlled feel that remains centered even as form fades. Tuned for tempo and race over medium to long distances, it feels firmer and more stable than the Endorphin Elite 2.

About Saucony

Saucony was founded in 1898 as Saucony Shoe Manufacturing Company in Kutztown, Pennsylvania. The river on which the company was founded at that time was known by the Native Americans as "Saucon". Translated, this means "the place where two rivers meet." The logo depicts a flowing river with three boulders sitting in it. At the beginning to the middle of the 20th century running became more and more a serious sport. However, the region lacked the appropriate outfitter. With their attached retail store, the Saucony operators filled this gap and provided the ambitious athletes with professional footwear. When Saucony running shoes won a "Best Quality" award from Consumer Reports magazine in 1977, the shoes quickly went from being an insider tip among passionate runners to the hottest running shoes of the time. When Rod Dixon won the 1983 New York City Marathon in Saucony running shoes, the brand finally reached a wider audience. Saucony dedicated a signature model to him, the DXN Trainer, which is still available for purchase today. In addition to this classic, the Saucony Jazz and Shadow series form the pillars of Saucony's 80s running range. In the 90s, more technically complex silhouettes followed with the Shadow 6000, among others, which enjoy the highest popularity in sneaker circles today. Supported by the successful GRID damping, these new models could provide a new wind. Not least thanks to numerous successful collaborations, the brand has made it to a renowned size in the sneaker scene. However, Saucony is not to be stopped and so we now expect more silhouettes from the archives, which will take us through the late 90s and early 2000s. Be excited!
