Our size recommendation

Hi, I’m Phil & Asphaltgold’s longest-serving employee. The XT-6 fits small, typical for Salomon. If you’re between two sizes in Adidas or Nike, we recommend choosing the larger size here.

Description Salomon XT-6 GTX

Salomon has evolved from the French ski specialist to a cornerstone of the Gorpcore movement, and the XT-6 GTX is proof of that. The silhouette started in 2013 as a trail runner from Salomon's S/LAB department, developed with ultra-distance athletes for brutal terrains and long distances. In 2018, it returned as a lifestyle model and became one of the defining technical silhouettes of the early 2020s. This style features the GTX variant with a waterproof GORE-Tex membrane, made for wet days and variable terrain. The colorway Mustang / Bitter Chocolate / Green Gables remains deep and earthy: warm mustard yellow meets dark chocolate brown and muted green. It includes the well-known trademarks – Quicklace lacing, Sensifit cage at the midfoot, and the aggressively profiled Contagrip outsole, which comes from the trail and works just as well on asphalt. A palette that fits perfectly into winter: subdued, warm, designed for the outdoors. For those who wear technical silhouettes with wide pants and calm tones.

chassisSystem

The Salomon chassisSystem provides stability and control. Lateral and medial support during biomechanical movements, combined with reduced foot rotation, ensures stability, control, and a secure grip on any terrain.

Contagrip® is Salomon's specially developed outsole technology, designed for reliable grip on a wide range of surfaces – from asphalt to trails. With various rubber compounds and tread patterns, Contagrip® provides optimal grip, traction, and durability – whether on everyday surfaces or off the beaten path.

Guaranteed to keep you dry, that’s the promise of Gore-Tex®! Since 1976, products with Gore-Tex® have provided innovative waterproof protection - even in heavy rain and snow - while being breathable and windproof.

quickLACE

Salomon Quicklace - the ultralight, efficient lacing system. Easy on and off with a single pull, ultralight and a lower profile. Improved circulation, less fatigue, more endurance and comfort. Also a durable and repairable design.

Sensifit

Salomon’s sensiFIT™ enhances fit and support. It gently wraps the foot, providing secure support all around. The individually adjustable fit improves foot control.
