With the Wmns Lahar Low, Nike brings a silhouette from its outdoor heritage back to the city. The original Lahar Escape Boot dates back to 1989 and combined the character of a high-top basketball shoe with that of a rugged hiking boot – in the spirit of the early ACG line. For the reissue, Nike flips the ratio of urban to outdoor: where the original boot was meant to entice city dwellers into adventure, the Lahar Low now brings the durability and rugged aesthetic of outdoor footwear into modern everyday life. The colorway Hemp / Smoke / Grain / Orange maintains a deliberately earthy and understated feel. The low silhouette features a robust leather upper, a heavily treaded outsole, and metal eyelet lacing with rope-like laces. Rubberized overlays at the toe and midfoot enhance durability, while the outsole with pronounced lugs provides grip on asphalt as well as on trails.
