The Mizuno x Sean Wotherspoon Wave MG4 LS ventures into new territory for Mizuno Sportstyle. For Virginia designer and Round Two co-founder Sean Wotherspoon, this is his first project with Mizuno, based on the Wave MG4 LS, a retro runner from 2006, presented through his SWJP imprint along with Tokyo designer Ryunosuke Uchida aka Uchi. Wotherspoon, known for his vintage aesthetic since the Air Max 97/1, brings this signature style to a silhouette that has long flown under the radar. The core features a base of light washed denim. Gray side motifs and forefoot overlays carry blue stripes, with silver leather at the heel, yellow accents framing the eyelets, and small red hits on the lining and outsole. Striped fabric also covers the toe and Mizuno logos. Additionally, a cream wavy midsole gives the runner its Y2K vibe. The release follows the campaign concept 'From City to Nature', starting in the streets of Shibuya and leading into Japan's mountainous regions. This global light blue variant is the main act of the pack and perfectly captures the play of boho and vintage.
