Karhu from Helsinki is one of the quiet giants of the running world: founded in 1916, the brand once designed the three stripes and sold them to adidas in 1952. For the Karhu x Knirps Fusion 2.0 *No Break in the Clouds*, the label teams up with Knirps, the German pocket umbrella pioneer that started the foldable umbrella revolution. The Fusion 2.0 itself is a modern reinterpretation of one of the most iconic Karhu silhouettes from the 1990s, originally introduced in 1996. The colorway Asphalt / Foggy Dew remains subtle and urban, built from a layering of mesh and suede. The special feature lies in the idea: both pairs of the pack use a water-repellent mesh that withstands almost any bad weather. Additionally, the collaboration details include dual branding on the insole and box, as well as an embossed Karhu bear with an umbrella on the lateral heel. The thought behind it is as dry as it is charming: Karhu and Knirps promise not to leave you and your sneakers out in the rain.
