Description Adidas ZX 8000

With the ZX 8000, adidas brings a true icon back to the streets. Launched in 1989, the ZX 8000 was part of the major technical push of the ZX line and introduced the Torsion System – a lightweight TPU bridge under the midfoot that allows the forefoot and heel to work independently. Designed by Jacques Chassaing and Markus Thaler, the silhouette set new standards in running. This version comes in Utility Black with Grey Five and Grey Four, shifting the usually loud ZX into a subdued monochrome. Robust ripstop meets leather overlays, textile upper material, and a rubber outsole, under which the visible Torsion bar leaves its mark. The muted palette allows the layered panels to speak more clearly than any bright color drop. Beyond the track, the ZX 8000 remains a crossover classic – a staple of the rave and techno scene, symbolizing departure and self-expression. This dark setup translates this heritage into a version for gray days and long nights.
