The Adidas ZX 8000 is a core part of the ZX line, the series that redefined Adidas's vision of running in 1984. Designed by Jacques Chassaing and Markus Thaler, the 8K was built for long-distance training and features the Torsion System in the sole for midfoot stability. What starts as a performance runner later finds a second life in Berlin's underground rave scene at the end of the Cold War, becoming a symbol of freedom and self-expression. This colorway plays with Grey Two, Purple, and Semi Frozen Lemon, translating the angular, technically layered silhouette into a muted palette with a bright citrus tone as an accent. The mesh upper remains leather-free, while the textile overlays and Torsion element under the midfoot keep the silhouette's typical structure alive. The appeal lies in a color world between cool gray and neon flash, drawing the DNA core of the ZX into a calm, present tone.

About Adidas

Since its founding in 1949, adidas has stood for quality and innovative product design. It's no wonder that the Herzogenaurach-based sporting goods manufacturer is one of the most successful brands in the sector. Adidas is known worldwide: The three stripes that adorn the company logo have become truly legendary. But the "Trefoil" logo from the 1970s is also incredibly recognizable.

The story of adidas began somewhat earlier and more tranquilly: with the brothers Adi and Rudolf Dassler, who fulfilled their dream of self-employment with the "Dassler Shoe Factory" in 1924. After the brothers decided to go their separate ways, Adi Dassler founded the company adidas.

The name adidas is derived from the founder's name. His brother, on the other hand, founded the brand Puma, which also enjoys great recognition today.

And the success knew no bounds: The further development of the brand's product range and maximum performance were always the main driving forces behind the brand's designers. Today, adidas can look back on a product history that is unparalleled – with sportswear, streetwear, accessories and the hottest kicks.
