Pharrell Williams and adidas expand their Jellyfish chapter with a new colorway. The Adistar Jellyfish is Pharrell's signature silhouette at adidas, launched in 2025 under his VIRGINIA alias and built on the 2005 Adistar Cushion 3 โ€“ featuring a completely reimagined upper made of lightweight mesh and oversized, three-dimensional overlay panels. VIRGINIA is more than a label name: Pharrell named the project after his hometown Virginia Beach, as a creative platform that connects music, fashion, design, and community. The Adidas x Pharrell Williams Adistar Jellyfish dives completely into red. Two shades of red run across the upper: a lighter red over overlays and toe area, Team Victory Red fills the base and parts of the midsole. Black Three Stripes break up the areas on the sides, gray details accentuate the raised panels. The wavy TPU overlays wrap around the shaft like tentacles โ€“ hence the name. With this version, the Jellyfish departs from its cleaner beginnings. While earlier models relied on classic tech-runner aesthetics in tone-on-tone white, the red version shows a bolder direction for the maximalist silhouette. James Harden debuted the colorway before Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

About Adidas

Since its founding in 1949, adidas has stood for quality and innovative product design. It's no wonder that the Herzogenaurach-based sporting goods manufacturer is one of the most successful brands in the sector. Adidas is known worldwide: The three stripes that adorn the company logo have become truly legendary. But the "Trefoil" logo from the 1970s is also incredibly recognizable.

The story of adidas began somewhat earlier and more tranquilly: with the brothers Adi and Rudolf Dassler, who fulfilled their dream of self-employment with the "Dassler Shoe Factory" in 1924. After the brothers decided to go their separate ways, Adi Dassler founded the company adidas.

The name adidas is derived from the founder's name. His brother, on the other hand, founded the brand Puma, which also enjoys great recognition today.

And the success knew no bounds: The further development of the brand's product range and maximum performance were always the main driving forces behind the brand's designers. Today, adidas can look back on a product history that is unparalleled โ€“ with sportswear, streetwear, accessories and the hottest kicks.
