Description Adidas SL 72 RS

With the SL 72 RS, adidas brings back one of its quieter legends from the archive to the streets. The SL 72 debuted in 1972 as a lightweight running shoe and was the first shoe with the Trefoil logo. 'SL' stands for 'Super Light', '72' for the year of release, right in the middle of the running boom of the seventies. The abbreviation 'RS' stands for 'reshaped': The RS version adopts the upper design but places it on a bulkier sole with a bit more height. In the colorway Khaki Three / Core Black / Warm Sandstone, the palette remains muted and earthy. Textile upper meets leather overlays, giving the sleek runner structure and depth. The serrated Three Stripes and the upgraded rubber outsole pull the silhouette into the present without diluting the vintage DNA.
