With the Hyperboost Edge, Adidas enters the league of super trainers. The brand from Herzogenaurach combines three technologies into a unique approach: the new Hyperboost Pro midsole, a PRIMEWEAVE upper, and the LIGHTTRAXION outsole. The pelletized foam concept builds on the Boost DNA but is significantly lighter and more responsive. This colorway in Off White and Wonder Cargo features a woven mesh upper with subtle overlays and clean lines. Underfoot, there are 45 mm in the heel and 39 mm in the forefoot with a 6 mm drop – a high, stable build with noticeable rebound and plenty of energy return. The LIGHTTRAXION sole grips from heel to toe, with integrated heel pods supporting the heel. Built for the daily run: from relaxed recovery miles to long runs. If you want, you can pick up the pace without losing cushioning.

Technology: Boost

Adidas' Innovation Team (AIT) worked with German chemical company BASF to create Boost technology. The goal was to develop cushioning that was both soft and responsive - two rather contradictory characteristics. At the time, EVA foam was the industry standard for performance running shoes. But Boost was about to change everything. A midsole made up of thousands of tiny cells that absorb and release energy with every step. In 2013, the cushioning technology was first used in a running shoe. Since then, Boost became a byword for running performance and was so popular that it even made its way into the sneaker world. Boost is made from thermoplastic polyurethane particles that are processed into a foam that is made up of all sorts of small, enclosed air pockets. This material is called expanded thermoplastic polyurethane, or eTPU for short.

Lighttraxion

The Lighttraxion outsole reduces weight without compromising grip. Its rod-shaped tread pattern is anatomically shaped to the foot, providing reliable grip mile after mile.

About Adidas

Since its founding in 1949, adidas has stood for quality and innovative product design. It's no wonder that the Herzogenaurach-based sporting goods manufacturer is one of the most successful brands in the sector. Adidas is known worldwide: The three stripes that adorn the company logo have become truly legendary. But the "Trefoil" logo from the 1970s is also incredibly recognizable.

The story of adidas began somewhat earlier and more tranquilly: with the brothers Adi and Rudolf Dassler, who fulfilled their dream of self-employment with the "Dassler Shoe Factory" in 1924. After the brothers decided to go their separate ways, Adi Dassler founded the company adidas.

The name adidas is derived from the founder's name. His brother, on the other hand, founded the brand Puma, which also enjoys great recognition today.

And the success knew no bounds: The further development of the brand's product range and maximum performance were always the main driving forces behind the brand's designers. Today, adidas can look back on a product history that is unparalleled – with sportswear, streetwear, accessories and the hottest kicks.
