    Hi, I’m Phil & Asphaltgold’s longest-serving employee. The Handball fits slightly larger than most Adidas models. We recommend going half a size down, but if you have wider feet, stick to your usual Adidas size.

    The Handball Spezial debuted in 1979 as an indoor performer for handball courts before being embraced by the British casual scene of the 80s. Adidas presents the Handball Spezial W in a version that emphasizes the slim fit and flat retro cut appreciated by the community. The upper is made of suede in the Sand Strata / Off White / Gum 5 colorway – warm, muted sand tones meet clean Off White and classic Gum sole. Leather bindings and serrated branding add accents, while the T-toe cap and low profile keep the line sleek and tidy. A palette that works in the transition between seasons and highlights the vintage character of the silhouette. Worn suede that only gets better with time – exactly the understated tone that made the Spezial a favorite among casuals.
