The North Face expands its trail expertise with the Offtrail Ultra, a model positioned away from its plated Summit Racers. Instead of a carbon plate and mega stack, the Offtrail Ultra features a deliberately flat, technically thought-out geometry for rugged terrain off the paths. The new DREAMBOUND midsole combines two foam densities in a single casting process, balancing support, cushioning, and low weight. The Papaya / Canal Blue colorway references the highly visible color scheme of the 1990 Trans-Antarctica Expedition. The upper is enveloped by a stretchy SCREEGUARD gaiter that keeps stones and dirt at bay and eases entry, while a bonded inner frame with TPU overlays provides stability. The SURFACE CTRL sole with 5 mm deep lugs and a scrambling zone at the toe delivers grip on technical terrain. Thus, the Offtrail Ultra stands where functional mountain gear meets contemporary outdoor design: robust, lightweight, and clear in form.
