Today, the brand offers a collection of simple yet thoughtfully designed products that focus on longevity rather than short-term trends. Sporty and Rich places great importance on environmental awareness and works with leading environmental organizations to minimize and offset the environmental impact of production. Customers are encouraged to keep their pieces, as they only get better with time. Founded by Emily Oberg, who moved from Calgary to New York in 2015 and initially launched Sporty & Rich as an Instagram mood board, the brand has grown under her leadership into an international company headquartered in Los Angeles and Paris. As visual director, Emily Oberg oversees all aspects of design, marketing, production, and more. The brand has also gained particular attention through its successful collaborations with adidas, which combine Sporty & Rich's minimalist aesthetic with athletic functionality. The collaborations with Adidas authentically demonstrate that the two brands complement each other perfectly through their style and athleticism.
