With the Puma x SAYSKY MagMax Nitro 2 W, two worlds collide. SAYSKY is a Copenhagen-based label founded in 2013, drawing its performance wear from skate, surf, and graphic design rather than traditional running culture, earning a cult fan base in the distance scene. The collaboration brings credibility to these subcultures for Puma. The MagMax Nitro 2 is the second generation of Puma's highly stacked daily trainer. The Ultra Purple / Puma Black colorway combines a textile, breathable upper with the handwritten co-branding aesthetic of the collab. Underfoot, there are 46 mm of stack in the heel and 38 mm in the forefoot made from supercritical NITROFOAM – without a plate, but with noticeable bounce. Traction and weight have been improved over its predecessor, making the shoe significantly more manageable. A wide base and distinctive rocker geometry provide stability despite the high sole. This is a running tool for volume: the MagMax 2 shines during easy and long runs when it’s all about comfortable mileage collection. As a recovery option alongside a faster, plated model in the rotation, it also makes sense.
