With the Mind 002, Nike continues one of its most distinctive ideas in recent years. The Mind line originated in the newly established Mind Science Department in Beaverton, Oregon, consisting of the Mind 001 and Mind 002, and was over a decade in development. At the core of the series are 22 individual foam pods that move up and down to stimulate sensory receptors in the foot, promoting concentration and presence. The Flyknit variant stems from a collaboration with Hiroshi Fujiwara's fragment design. This QS version features a color palette of Sanddrift, Fossil Rose, Plum Eclipse, and Light Orewood Brown, focusing on muted, earthy tones. The upper is entirely made of breathable Flyknit, which fits softly and snugly around the foot. The thinner, flexible material showcases different textures, combined with raw seams and a reduced eyelet design. The execution is completely leather-free, with a rubber outsole. The Mind 002 balances functional tech design with relaxed, modern wardrobe. The calm color scheme and clear knit structure bring it closer to smart everyday looks without losing its experimental character.
