With the Nike Air Jordan 5 Retro OG *Halloween*, Jordan Brand brings a dedicated spooky season chapter to a mainline silhouette for the first time in a long time. Designer Tinker Hatfield was inspired by Michael Jordan's fierce playing style in 1990, comparing it to a WWII fighter jet – resulting in the signature shark teeth on the midsole and the clear outsole. This legacy continues with the 5s today. This time, the silhouette runs completely in the dark. Black dominates almost the entire upper, extending over the mesh netting, while Picante Red sits on the flames of the midsole, the Air unit remains blacked out, and the “23” is outlined in green on the outer side. Green covers the glow-in-the-dark outsole and the Nike Air at the heel, with the seams also glowing. By day, a clean black colorway that shows its true face in the dark – discreetly laced for October but built for rotation long after.
