About Clarks

Clarks Originals is one of the most traditional shoe manufacturers in the world. Founded in 1825 in English Street, Somerset, the company headquarters is still located in the same place today. Brothers James and Cyrus Clark recognized the need for high-quality footwear early on, so they continued to develop their product portfolio and manufacturing capabilities. With their flagships, the Desert Boot and the Wallabee, the brand was able to celebrate great success across different generations and subcultures. In addition to the English Mods of the 60s, it was primarily the Jamaican Rudeboys who discovered the brand for themselves and made it big. From the shores of Jamaica, the trend finally spilled over into the streets of Brooklyn, where rap stars like the Wu-Tang Clan discovered the styles for themselves in the mid-1990s. The Wallabee, in particular, redefined the look in hip-hop and brought a stronger smart-casual style to what was otherwise a very sportswear scene. Fast forward to 2018, Clarks is launching all-new models alongside its all-time classics in new colors and material updates that will add their own unique flavor to the sneaker scene.
