The Adidas ZX 8000 is one of the most iconic runners from the Three-Stripes archive. It debuted in 1989 as part of the second wave of the ZX series, designed by adidas designers Jacques Chassaing and Markus Thaler, and was the first shoe with the Torsion system – a TPU bridge between the heel and forefoot that allows both zones to work independently. From marathon asphalt, the silhouette quickly found its way into clubs: during the British second 'Summer of Love' in 1988 and 1989, the ZX 8000 became a favorite of the acid house rave scene in Manchester. This version in St Fade Ocean, Sand Strata, and Wonder Red plays with muted earth tones and a cool ocean blue. The ripstop upper adds texture, while the signature ZX sole with Torsion bar sits underfoot. A colorway that translates the playful DNA of the series into a calmer, wearable palette. Between rave heritage and today's streetwear context, the ZX 8000 remains a runner with attitude – a piece of adidas history that breathes anew in this sandy version.

About Adidas

Since its founding in 1949, adidas has stood for quality and innovative product design. It's no wonder that the Herzogenaurach-based sporting goods manufacturer is one of the most successful brands in the sector. Adidas is known worldwide: The three stripes that adorn the company logo have become truly legendary. But the "Trefoil" logo from the 1970s is also incredibly recognizable.

The story of adidas began somewhat earlier and more tranquilly: with the brothers Adi and Rudolf Dassler, who fulfilled their dream of self-employment with the "Dassler Shoe Factory" in 1924. After the brothers decided to go their separate ways, Adi Dassler founded the company adidas.

The name adidas is derived from the founder's name. His brother, on the other hand, founded the brand Puma, which also enjoys great recognition today.

And the success knew no bounds: The further development of the brand's product range and maximum performance were always the main driving forces behind the brand's designers. Today, adidas can look back on a product history that is unparalleled – with sportswear, streetwear, accessories and the hottest kicks.
