Nike Attack - the silhouette that broke all norms in the 80s and disrupted the uniformity in tennis at the time is now back!

Originally designed for tennis legend John McEnroe, the silhouette appeared in two different colorways in 1984 and hasn't been re-released since.

After Travis Scott and LeBron James already brought the Attack back on the streets in 2021, it's now time for us at Asphaltgold to celebrate the comeback of the first Nike Attack retro of the OG silhouette from the 80s as well.

We also made it our goal to break norms and especially the uniformity of the mainstream lifestyle and therefore teamed up with a special crew from the UK as well as a stylist to create individual looks together. Theresa Grossthe extravagant stylist from Berlin, has inspired both the four members of the London-based Minikingz as well as herself and created five outfits that represent one thing in particular: Boldness.

Known among all who are passionate about the UK music scene, the Minikingz have gained fame beyond national borders at the latest since their album "ICONICY" from 2022. In their songs the four members succeed in BenjiFlow, Ragz Originale, Oscar #Worldpeace and RXLLS to mix different genres and create new and individual sounds. Also during our shooting it was noticeable how well the four creatives, who grew up together, are connected by creativity and friendship.

Ever since she was a child Theresa has been interested in fashion and everything that has to do with it. The Berlin native, originally from Bremen, combines a wide variety of styles in her stylings and creates looks that are anything but boring! Layerings, different elements and the full load of maximalism ensure that Theresa's looks are unique and effortless at the same time.

The silhouette, which made its debut in the 80s in tennis and since then is probably considered the most legendary tennis shoe ever, was designed back then specifically for player John McEnroe and therefore also bears the name "Mac Attack".
Almost 40 years after release, the iconic model now comes back as a retro and is in no way inferior to the OG in terms of shape and details!

After the release of the *Red Crush* colorway at the end of July, Nike now delivers the next colorway in white / black, which also features a checkerboard design on the tongue and a red Nike logo.
