After a successful collaboration in 2018, we are now happy to present you our next joint project with ASICS! Five years ago that we started with the Asics Gel-DS Trainer *Art Nouveau*.which is inspired by the (art-)history of our hometown Darmstadt, laid the foundation. The Runner is now complemented by a basketball silhouette: the EX89. Inspired by the GEL Extreme from the 80s, which at the time as a classic basketball shoe sported was, is the court silhouette in 2022 from Asics. back back on the street been and has been here to stay ever since.

IMPROMPTU
Impromptu is said when something is unplanned or unrehearsed. In jazz, the term refers to a short instrumental piece that resembles an improvisationt - an characteristic of jazz, since it gives the musicians This is an essential characteristic of jazz, as it allows the musicians to make music together in harmony without having to adhere to a fixed plan. In this way all band members can live out their individuality and are at the same time withconnected with each other, to together something even Ggreater together.
A 1A parallel for our society: While each:r individual of us go through life with focus on our own doing, it will become even better & more beautifulif one is considerate of the others and in harmony.
Our recent collaboration is dedicated to our love for music and its relevance in the sneaker and streetwear cosmos. Music is something that connects all of us with each other and each:r of us remembers at least one popculturally important "Sneaker moment" that happened in the last decades in music videos, concerts or at the Awardshows has played out.

ASPHALTGOLD & SILVAN STRAUSS
We have met with the german drummer and jazz musician Silvan Strauss together, to improvise with instruments and to bring together beats, vocals but most of all emotions to create a modern impromptu. Our love for music is clearly shared by Silvan: Ss a child the drummer, who has already played in the Elbphilharmonie, among others, dreamed of a career as a musician, of a career as a musician. The dream has come true in the meantime and Silvan simply unstoppable! The musician fills the room with the first beat with good vibes only and radiates a contagious positive energy.

The principle of Impromptu is not only found in our session or the joint shooting.r; auch as the design is concerned, we have made it a point to use a wide range of different materials and blend together in the design process to create something unique.
Eyear of creative process and preparation has led to a result that we are very proud of. are very proud of: The different structural levels of our EX89 come together with versatile details and color nuances. Thus the lining satin, while the upper is made from a mix of nubuck and Nubuck, Hairy Suede and soft leather - anly premiummaterials. Details like the small asphaltgold-flag label on the right outside and the printed printed inner soles round off the Court silhouette and present it in such a as, as it is: multilayered and yet effortless; simple, without being understatement.

If you look closely, you can see the "Impromptu" logo on the Innersole - a Claim, which can be found on is reflected in every level of the project. We also remain true to ourselves when it comes to color nuances: In addition to various shades of cream and calmem Glacier Grey, ss the case with den Highlights literally come full circle again: they are, typical of the Art Nouveau style, in Ginger Peach color.

To celebrate the release together with all of you as well as the Impromptu lifestyle, it will be on 12.08.2023 a release event in Frankfurt where our love for music will play an important role.t: On site, of course Silvan Strauss himself as well as Ninja Kidsoul & Band for the finest music and best atmosphere.
