  • adidas ZX 8000: Retro erhält BOOST-Dämpfung

ADIDAS ZX 8000 *AQUA*: RETRO RECEIVES BOOST DAMPING

"2020" doesn't just sound good. The new year also starts off well - at least for the sneaker community. Because with the ZX 8000 *Aqua* brings adidas brings back a shoe that has made the hearts of many collectors beat faster since its market launch in 1989 and has long since achieved iconic status.

After adidas already thrilled its followers last year with various reissues of the ZX series, the sneaker giant from Herzogenaurach puts another clear exclamation mark with the retro of the ZX 8000. While the last edition from 2013 was not able to convince everyone due to a lack of attention to detail, adidas, under the direction of Global Head of Energy Till Jagla, has taken great pains with the current version to get as close to the original as possible. And the effort has paid off! The *Aqua* colorway has undergone a makeover and comes across much brighter and more radiant than its predecessor. Real TPU elements in the heel and forefoot - still printed on the 2013 version - provide additional stability. The height of the toe box has also been optimized for maximum comfort.

    Sole update has it all

But the real highlight is hidden in the sole. True to the famous quote "The essential is invisible to the eyes" (Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, "The Little Prince"), the externally visible EVA foam is surrounded by BOOST cushioning, which is implemented inside the sole. By means of this "drop in" solution, adidas gives the cult sneaker its most innovative cushioning technology, without having to compromise on the look. We at asphaltgold are excited about this very successful bringback and can hardly wait for the release of the ZX 8000.
