NEW BALANCE 997H - EVOLUTION AT ITS BEST!

The first New Balance 997 was launched in 1991 and was penned by footwear designer Steven Smith, who was also responsible for the design of the New Balance 1500 and the New Balance 574 and the New Balance 574. With the 997H, New Balance now brings out a revised reinterpretation of the legendary classic. We talked to Dani about the past and the future of the 997, check out the video here!

The new lifestyle sneaker combines current technology with the charm of one of the most sought-after sneakers from New Balance. Lightweight mesh meets a synthetic leather upper and suede details. Compared to its predecessor, the new 997H features New Balance lettering very prominently on the midsole, reinforcing the brand's new confidence. Thanks to the new GCEVA unit, the weight of the 997H has been kept very low, while at the same time the new midsole offers a high level of comfort. The new silhouette comes with just as distinctive a shape as the classic 997, capturing that vibe perfectly. Despite the update in design, you don't have to sacrifice anything here. The new 997H combines New Balance's signature heritage feel with contemporary street style.

It shows once again that New Balance knows very well how to adapt popular classics to current fashion. With the new 997H you can look forward to fresh and contemporary colorways, which will not only make the hearts of passionate sneaker fans beat faster.
