The SL 72 was introduced by adidas in 1972 as part of the SL (Super Light) running shoe series. It was developed as a lightweight competition shoe and this modern version celebrates this sporting tradition. It has a lightweight nylon upper with soft suede overlays and a low-profile rubber outsole. The eye-catching SL 72 logo in a retro look on the side pays homage to the original.
