- With us, you will be trained as a merchandise management and logistics professional in two years

Why did you decide to do an apprenticeship?
I decided to do an apprenticeship because I missed the practical part of my studies. Another reason for my change was the Corona pandemic and the associated lack of motivation to study. That's why I looked for a concrete alternative and personally found that an apprenticeship was the best fit for me at the moment.
What were your expectations of the training & Asphaltgold?
My main criteria for training were that it was future-oriented, challenging and reflected my personal interests. The training to become a merchant in e-commerce met these requirements and that is why I ultimately decided on this training.
I therefore expected that the training at Asphaltgold would not only challenge me but also support me.
I also expected to gain insights into the processes of online trading and to actively contribute to its improvement, as well as to be able to combine my hobby or interest with my work .
What does a working day look like for you?
Since I currently work in the UX & Tech Ops department, my working day is structured as follows:
The typical workday begins with checking emails and the tasks that are pending for the day. You also quickly check whether there are any meetings planned and plan the day accordingly for the to- do 's .
In addition to daily/weekly to-dos such as maintaining cross-sell products or testing the online shop and app, I also drive my own projects that contribute to our OKRs. OKRs are larger goals that we want to achieve in a certain period of time (usually quarters) in order to offer our customers the best possible shopping experience.
What do you particularly like about the training?
What I particularly like about my training is that the tasks you are given are challenging and supportive and that you can exceed your own expectations. You are trusted to be able to tackle larger tasks such as projects independently and you receive a lot of support if you encounter problems or obstacles . There is also a very familial atmosphere and people communicate with each other on an equal level, which makes the working atmosphere very pleasant.
Of course, I also appreciate the great benefits and events that Asphaltgold offers us ;)
What has been your highlight at Asphaltgold so far?
There were many highlights at Asphaltgold . From the successful completion of a project to the 10-hour celebrations at our well-known SoulSole events, everything was there .
Personally, I find it difficult to decide on just one highlight .
I would say that if you just go for it, every moment at Asphaltgold can become a personal highlight.
