It does not get quiet around the running classic, Nike releases the Air Max 1 Premium *Duck Honeydew*! For this release Nike was inspired by the popular "Ugly Duckling" Pack of the Dunk Low, which appeared in 2001 and in recent years also celebrated its comeback as a retro. Accordingly, Nike relies fully on suede for the upper. As with the Dunks, Nike chooses colors, in this case orange, gray, black and green, which do not really match in the head, but then look damn good combined on the shoe. To round off the release, an embroidered duck is emblazoned on the heel of the shoe.

Max Air was the first visible version of Nike's Air technology. Inspired by the modern inside-out architecture of the Centre Pompidou in Paris, Hatfield developed the Air Max and literally opened a window onto the sole of the shoe. And thus started a revolution in the world of footwear.
