    Karhu dedicates several colorways of the Fusion XC to Mount Saana, probably the most popular mountain in Finland! It is not the first time that Karhu takes on the theme. Back in 2015, at the launch of the Fusion 2.0, Karhu released three colorways whose color palette reflected the autumnal landscape around the popular excursion spot. The 2023 release is based on these colorways in terms of color and material. The upper features a mix of suede and synthetic. The necessary comfort is provided by the Fulcrum technology in combination with the Air damping in the midsole. Since there can be the one or other rain shower in the fall, Karhu equips the Fusion XC with a waterproof HydroGuard® membrane.

    The Finnish brand Karhu was founded in 1916 and initially produced spears, discuses and skis, then a few years later running shoes. Karhu is particularly known for its Fulcrum technology. This was developed in 1987 and has since been tested and perfected at the University of Jyväskylä in Finland and Iowa State University in the USA. It provides targeted cushioning that allows for a more natural running feel and a better kick.
