About The North Face
The North Face was founded in 1966 by Doug Tompkins as an outfitter shop for skiing and backpacking in San Francisco. Under the brand slogan "Never Stop Exploring", high-quality, innovative and technical outdoor clothing is produced. In 1977, the brand mantra even led to the invention of "Gore-Tex technology". The brand is also an essential for everyday wear in wind and weather. At The North Face, special emphasis has always been placed on the responsible use of chemicals in the production of clothing. TNF has been presenting high-end streetwear for years through its exclusive sub-brand *Purple Label*. The Japanese design team around Creative Director Eiichiro Homma has been responsible for the Capsule Collection for a few seasons now, which is selectively and limitedly available at asphaltgold in addition to a few other stores in Germany.
