The Soulland brand was founded in 2002 in Copenhagen. Silas Adler, the founder and creative director of the relatively young brand, saw the light of day in Denmark in 1985 and spent much of his youth on a skateboard. At the time, Adler found inspiration in his own roots. Copenhagen is located on an island known in Danish as "sjælland." Loosely translated, this means "soulland."
