The Air Max III or Air Max 90 is the third link in the Air Max saga after the Air Max 87 and the Air Max Light. Looking at its predecessors, one quickly recognizes which significant parts of the Air Max III have been borrowed where, but only to shine as a new complete work. The biggest feature of the AM90 is the big Nike Air heel logo and the supporting lace panels in the same design on the drop sides. Also around the air window you can find this design feature, which is the biggest difference to its predecessors. No well-assorted shoe cabinet should be without the original color scheme, called "Infrared" by connoisseurs - and everyone knows directly which model is being talked about. No less desirable is the other OG color, the Air Max 90 Laser Blue, which Nike recently gave the original Air Max III treatment. Nike itself says about its current Air Max III retros that they are closest to the 1990 originals. The use of sketches and modeling in the creation of a new model is not only common in the automotive industry, but also at Nike. This "archetype" model shows steps from the discovery phase of the Air Max III that have been illustrated on the shoe, such as the sketches around the Airpad or the open hem on the collar

About Nike

"Just do it": Hardly any other brand lives its brand slogan like the sporting goods manufacturer founded in Beaverton in 1971. In the 1960s, athletics coach Bill Bowerman set himself the task of developing the perfect running shoe for his students. Together with the student Phil Knight, this project gave rise to the company Nike, which celebrated its breakthrough at the 1972 Olympic Games.

Among the greatest achievements in the company's history are the involvement of the exceptional basketball talent Michael Jordan and the introduction of the visible Nike Air® cushioning on the Nike Air Max 1. The Nike Mag with its automatic lacing plays a central role in the 80s film classic "Back to the Future". Nike's chief designer Tinker Hatfield has recently managed to turn this dream idea into reality. Using Nike E.A.R.L. technology, he brings the first self-lacing shoe onto the market and thus heralds the future of sneaker development.
