The successful story of the Air Max series began in 1987 with the introduction of the Nike Air Max 1. This running shoe designed by Tinker Hatfield revolutionized the running world with the first visible Air System on a shoe. Together with the clean lines in the design of the sneaker and through its very eye-catching colorways, the Nike Air Max 87 very quickly developed into an incomparable sneaker classic and enjoys very great popularity. In addition to the original colorways and retro vintage editions, Nike also releases new colorways or limited editions in collaboration with various street artists, sneaker stores or other streetwear brands. The much sought-after Quickstrike or Tier 0 releases are fortunately also implemented on other cult models, such as the Nike Air Max 90, Air Trainer or Air Safari for whose design Nike and Jordan Brand star designer Tinker Hatfield is responsible. Suitable for the colder season, Nike brings the Air Max 1 with a robust full leather upper. The colorways come in the popular OG color blocking. With Martian Sunrise, Dark Teal Green and Obsidian, there is something for everyone. But not only that, the embroidered mini Swoosh on the forefoot will make the hearts of Air Max fans beat faster.

About Nike

"Just do it": Hardly any other brand lives its brand slogan like the sporting goods manufacturer founded in Beaverton in 1971. In the 1960s, athletics coach Bill Bowerman set himself the task of developing the perfect running shoe for his students. Together with the student Phil Knight, this project gave rise to the company Nike, which celebrated its breakthrough at the 1972 Olympic Games.

Among the greatest achievements in the company's history are the involvement of the exceptional basketball talent Michael Jordan and the introduction of the visible Nike Air® cushioning on the Nike Air Max 1. The Nike Mag with its automatic lacing plays a central role in the 80s film classic "Back to the Future". Nike's chief designer Tinker Hatfield has recently managed to turn this dream idea into reality. Using Nike E.A.R.L. technology, he brings the first self-lacing shoe onto the market and thus heralds the future of sneaker development.
