KARHU puts the legendary Cheer Bear, front and center. This carefully crafted collection pays homage to KARHU's own bear, the symbol that adorns each of their shoes and for which they are known in the world of sports and fashion. The concept of the Cheer Bear, originally considered a good luck charm, dates back to the early 1800s. It dates back to the early twentieth century. Sports organizations popularized the bear, initially using live animals to entertain spectators and intimidate rivals. Over time, Cheer Bears evolved into larger-than-life caricatures whose mission was to excite fans and motivate athletes. In searching for a modern face for the pack, the KARHU design team drew inspiration from several illustrations in their archives - most notably the Trampas Bear from the 1960s and a comic from the 1980s that featured Kris, the Karhu Bear. In the latest issue, they continue the story of Kris.
