The successful collaboration of Asics with the lifestyle brand Awake NY goes into the next round! This time the duo collaborates on the running classic par excellence from the Asics portfolio, the Gel-Lyte III. The team from New York around designer Angelo Baque provides us with three colorways! All three have the mesh upper in combination with suede overlay and transparent Asics logo in common. Awake NY branding can be found on the insole, the outer heel of the right shoe and even the lacetips!

Asics GEL
In 1986 Asics introduced GEL technology first on the Japan-exclusive Asics Freaks and then on the GT-II - and the rest is history. GEL technology works on both the rear and front of the foot by strategically placing the gel where it works best. Rearfoot GEL technology reduces impact at the heel and allows for a smooth roll-off, while in the forefoot it improves cushioning during forward movements. The GEL technology, formed from inert polymers to silicone, have been constantly developed to produce a substance that reduces the demands on the human body during sports.
