    The GEL-LYTE™ III OG sneaker creates the cushioning you need to keep your mind and body aligned. It resurfaces with earthy hues and materials, highlighting Japan's transition from summer (Natsu) to fall (Aki). This design embraces Momijigari, a tradition of searching for a Japanese maple leaf's burgundy hue. The shoe's suede and leather paneling are colored with seasonal shades to represent the leaves turning from green to red. Meanwhile, each shoe in the collection is embroidered with a leather patch that denotes which season it symbolizes.

    In 1986 Asics introduced GEL technology first on the Japan-exclusive Asics Freaks and then on the GT-II - and the rest is history. GEL technology works on both the rear and front of the foot by strategically placing the gel where it works best. Rearfoot GEL technology reduces impact at the heel and allows for a smooth roll-off, while in the forefoot it improves cushioning during forward movements. The GEL technology, formed from inert polymers to silicone, have been constantly developed to produce a substance that reduces the demands on the human body during sports.
