The masterpiece designed by Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman in 1972 is celebrating its comeback! The re-release of a famous classic is naturally what every sneakerhead looks forward to the most. The Nike Cortez is now back on the scene boasting the same features as it did 44 years ago. One of its key features is its distinctly different shape. The sneaker is ultrastylish but sleek at the same time. The upper is a combination of suede and nylon and features the Swoosh logo, usually in very contrasting colors, making the sneaker an absolute eye-catcher. Other notable features include its cushioned sole and comfortable feel, which made this shoe a favorite among the running community even back then. Thanks to its cult status, it even managed to get into the movies and played a “supporting role” with Tom Hanks in “Forrest Gump”. Welcome back, Nike Cortez!
